Chipmaker TI is slated to release Q1 results after the closing bell tonight with a conference call to follow at 4:30 p.m. ET.
As it stands, the Capital IQ Consensus Estimate for TXN’S Q1 GAAP EPS sits at $1.13 (vs $1.35 a year ago) on revenue declines of 8.1% to $3.48 billion.
Q1 guidance calls for EPS of $1.03-1.21 (including $20 million tax benefit) on revenues of $3.34-3.62 billion.
Analysts are expecting declines in both earnings and sales this quarter, in-line with peer Taiwan Semi's (TSM) Q1 miss last week and Micron's (MU) mixed bag report and underwhelming guide from late March.
TECHS:
TXN has moved 22% higher since the start of the year.
