Costco (COST) will report fourth quarter earnings tomorrow before the open.

Q2 Capital IQ consensus calls for EPS of $2.06 (+2% yr/yr) on revenue of $38.3 bln (+8% yr/yr).

The Street is expecting Q2 comps to be 6.7% vs 5.4% in the same quarter as last year. Looking back, the company beat on EPS every quarter since Q1 of 2018 while it missed on revenues three out of the last four quarters.

TECHS:

COST has a $137.0 bln valuation and trades at ~35 FY20 EPS estimates vs BJ Wholesale (BJ) which trades at 30 times FY20 earnings.Based on the weekly COST Mar06 $317.50 straddle, the options market is currently pricing in a move of ~5% in either direction by weekly expiration (Friday).
