After the close, eBay (EBAY) is scheduled to report Q2 results with a conference call to follow at 5:00 ET.

The recent divestitures allow EBAY to focus its efforts and capital on its core Marketplace platform, which is currently excelling.

EBAY can use the capital to pay down debt, which sits at ~$7.7 bln, buy back stock, or reinvest in its platform.

EBAY has pulled back a little recently, but the stock has been very strong overall, more than doubling from its March lows.

Now, eBay is able to scale its management of payments globally, offering buyers more choice and flexibility in payment options and simplifying business operations for sellers. Since launch, eBay has managed payments for nearly 42,000 sellers and processed $4.7 billion in GMV.Co issues upside guidance for Q3, sees EPS of $0.81-0.87, excluding non-recurring items, vs. $0.81 S&P Capital IQ Consensus; sees Q3 revs of $2.64-2.71 bln vs. $2.55 bln S&P Capital IQ Consensus. Co issues raised guidance for FY20, sees EPS of $3.47-3.59 from $3.00-3.10, excluding non-recurring items, vs. $3.50 S&P Capital IQ Consensus; sees FY20 revs of $10.56-10.75 bln from $9.56-9.76 bln vs. $10.41 bln S&P Capital IQ Consensus.
